Mammals of Ladakh

Ladakh is rich with many mammals. Mammals of Ladakh numbers to approximately 37 different species and list of mammals of Ladakh are provied bellow for information of people interested in mammals of Ladakh.

Besides Mammals of Ladakh, Wildlife of Ladakh includes birds, pollinators, butterflies, amphibians, reptiles and many more. Wildlife in Ladakh are rare. Ladakh is one the rich biodiversity in western himalayas. The numbers of mammals 37+ in such a small area of Ladakh shows that Ladakh is very important habitat for mammals of the western himalaya.  

Asian house shrew in Ladakh is the latest addition to the list of mammals of ladakh. This was not done anywherer earlier.
