Stok Kangri Expedition (5-6 days - Strenuous trek)

Day 1: Leh - Stok - Mancarmo (5 hrs) :   Drive to Stok and trek to Mancarmo (4250 m) through a beautiful valley, where there are unusual rock formations that point skywards in orange, purple and green colors. Overnight at camp.

Day 2: Mancarmo - Base camp - Mancarmo (6 hrs)   From Mancarmo trek higher into a desolate area, inhabited by marmots and blue sheeps surrounded by high mountains. Walk toward the base camp(5020m) and then back to Mancarmo for one more night.

Day 3: Mancarmo - Base camp   Trek up to base camp and prepare for the summit push.

Day 4 and 5: Base camp - Summit - Base camp (11 hrs)  1 day is reserved in case there is bad weather. Leave around 1:00 AM. It is a strenuous hike and in the last part of the hike you are likely to use ice axes, cramptons and rope depending on the snow conditions. Once you are the top, you will forget all the hardship and enjoy beautiful sights of Himalayas. You can see Saser group of mountains in the great Karakoram range, where K2 lies. Stay over night at the camp .

Day 6: Base camp - Stok - Leh   After breakfast, walk down to Stok, retracing your footsteps. Drive down to Leh.
