Leh to Lamayuru via Likir (6 days - Easy trek)

Day 1: Leh - Likir :   Drive to Likir village in the morning visiting Spituk and Phyang monasteries on the way. At Likir, you can visit Likir monastery and giant statue of Maitreya Buddha and trek down to camp. Overnight at camp.  

Day 2: Likir - Yangthang (3 hrs)   Take a well marked trail, gradually climb to a small pass Pobe-La (3550m). From the pass, head to Sumbo and reach Charatse-La (3650m).  

Day 3: Yangthang - Hemis Shukpachan (5 hrs)   Trek down the valley to reach Rizong Monastery following the down stream. After visiting the monastery,climb the Sermanchan La (3750m) . Stay over night in tent. 

Day 4: Hemis Shukpachan - Tingmogang (3 hrs)   Trek to Tingmogang village (3200m). Trek half hour easy descent towards the village Ang. From Ang, trek towards south to the prosperous village of Timisgam. 

Day 5: Tingmogang - Khaltse (4 hrs)   Walk through the village crossing fields to reach the river and then steep climb to Bongbong-La (3630m). Trek long and gradual downhill where the trek ends. Board a jeep and drive about 1 hour to Lamayuru, one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh and stay overnight in a guest house. 

Day 6: Lamayuru - Leh   Drive back to Leh visiting Alchi Chiskor en route. Stay over night in hotel.
