Most people who reach at the height of 3500mts abruptly naturally feel a difference. Avoid alcohol at least for ist 3 days, and drink water, juice and tea as much as possible.

3. What do I need to bring for my trek?

Due to the climatic conditions of Ladakh, it is very important to bring good gear, a hat and sunscreen to prevent sunburns from the high radiation, flashlight with extra batteries, and any personal medicine. A fleece coat and hat are basic, the temperature might drop quiet low at night also pack your sleeping bag. Sunglasses with UV protection are defenitely important
Regarding your hiking shoes it is better to wear waterproof shoes. You will also need an extra pair of light shoes or sandals for resting time. Don't forget your energy food, power bars and any special candy that you particulary like during your treks. Water bottles or hydration bladder, probably this last one the more comfortable so that you don't have to put your pack down to get your bottle out. A good pair of binoculars is good to have as wildlife is intense in these areas, and you will appreciate taking a closer look.

4. How long in advance do I need to book my trek?

For any Treks in Ladakh, we recommend you to start your reservation process three months or four months in advance if possible. This doesn't mean that short notice plans couldn't be arranged, but it is always better to make a better arrangement when reservations are made earlier specially for Hotel reservations and Air Ticket reservations
